Lebanon is a country in Western Asia that is part of the Arab League. It is bordered by Syria to the north and east and Israel to the south, while Cyprus is west across the Mediterranean Sea.

Lebanon's location at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland facilitated its rich history and shaped a cultural identity of religious and ethnic diversity.

At just 10,452 km2 (4,036 sq. mi.), it is the smallest recognized sovereign state on the mainland Asian continent.

Lebanon has many mountains, a coastline stretching for tens of kilometers and beautiful valleys. The beautiful scenery, rocky forests, and seemingly non-existent landscapes in the world are what you can see in Lebanon.

Lebanon has been called the "Pearl of the Middle East" and tourists will flock to visit its stunning wonders. It has the capital of Beirut, which is no less developed than any city in the world.

Lebanon's capital, Beirut, is one of the oldest cities in the world, dating back more than 5,000 years, and the city alone is a testament to its rich history.

Lebanon has many great destinations, with some of the oldest cities in the world and places difficult to find in other parts of the Middle East, such as vineyards, nightclubs and ski resorts. Lebanese cuisine is one of the most famous Middle Eastern cuisine.

Beautiful places in Lebanon that you can explore such as the city of Beirut, Bekaa valley filled with ancient sites, or Tripoli, just two hours drive from Beirut, is the second most populous city. The best beaches in southern Lebanon are in Tire, about two hours south of Beirut. Byblos is one of the best places to visit if you're a history and archaeological fan. The town of Kobayat has some of the largest green areas in Lebanon, plus it's an old town and a good place for religious tourism, it has a number of churches and monasteries.

The resort town, Laqlouq is beautiful in both winter and summer, when the ski resort transforms into a weekend getaway with very vivid seasonal changes.

Bcharri is one of Lebanon's most amazing towns. One of the reasons to visit, the town is also home to the Gibran Khalil Gibran Museum, a national treasure filled with manuscripts and artifacts.

The country possesses a Mediterranean coast with rugged peaks, beautiful beaches and lush green valleys, making it a perfect tourist destination.

If you love ancient Rome, you have to check out two outstanding monuments in Lebanon, Baalbek and Anjer. Not too far from Beirut, the Chouf mountain range is the perfect place for day walks, breathtaking views and nature discoveries.

Lebanon has a very rich culture. Lebanese dishes are cooked primarily with olive oil, a substance without saturated fat. It has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and stroke. As a result, the population from the Middle East has a longer life expectancy.
