In the Nordic countries, Finland is often compared to a quiet and gentle girl. It seems that it is also a common feature of people and cities of this country.

Finland is in Northern Europe and has borders with Russia to the east, Norway to the north, and Sweden to the west. Finland is a thoroughly modern welfare state with well-planned and comfortable small towns and cities, but still offers vast areas of unspoiled nature.

Finland's population is 5.52 million (2018), and the majority of the population is concentrated in the southern region. 88.7% of the population is Finnish and speaks Finnish, a Uralic language unrelated to the Scandinavian languages; next come the Finland-Swedes (5.3%). Finland is the eighth-largest country in Europe and the most sparsely populated country in the European Union.

Finland is famous for Turku, the oldest city of Finland. Situated on the Baltic Sea, Turku is considered one of the ideal destinations of southwestern Finland in the winter.

Winters in southern Finland (when mean daily temperature remains below 0 °C or 32 °F) are usually about 100 days long, and in the inland the snow typically covers the land from about late November to April, and on the coastal areas such as Helsinki, snow often covers the land from late December to late March.  In northern Finland, particularly in Lapland, the winters are long and cold, while the summers are relatively warm but short. The most severe winter days in Lapland can see the temperature fall down to −45 °C (−49 °F).

Finland is beautiful in nature, but perhaps it is the meticulous care of every part of the island, especially the gardens to the flower-filled gates of the people that make up the most memorable country. Take a look at this video to see the beautiful parts of Finland.
